Cotton fibers as powerful cell support to enhance and facilitate 3D cell culture

Cell culture is a useful tool that is used to study cell behavior. Traditional two-dimensional cell culture has been used for so long but it has its limitations. That is why scientists are exploring three-dimensional cell culture systems in order to study cells in an environment that is nearer to the in vivo one. Hydrogels are widely used for that purpose. However, they have some drawbacks.

In this video, we propose a novel material for 3D cell culture that would fit better than hydrogels: cotton fiber. The advantages and way of using this material are described in the video.
